Show me the Money.

New realm, new opportunities, yet still no big time revenues (not to mention profits).

Classical TV revenue models such as advertisement, VOD, Pay per view are recreated/interpreted

by internet/IP abilities, allowing for changes such as: Personalized Video ads placed within content/context,

interactive content allowing for experiences like shopping, Viewing becomes personal and/or social,

viewership can be precisely measured.

Discussion will be about the models, tools and possibilities for monetizing from content in the new world,

trying answer some of the questions below;

What are the revenue models for online video?

Will users pay for viewing content?

How will personalization, measuring, ad interactivity and viewing quality effect the prices of Video advertisement?

Will we be shopping from within our video content?

More questions welcome

Content & Technology - Can't live with them, Can't live without them.

Dejavu topic that becomes critical as TV/Video meets Internet.

NBC announced it will use P2P for delivering Video content, Joost is constantly looking for content,

producers are creating online and TV versions of the same content, great content that is poorly streamed

will not create enough viewership....

Discussion is aimed at putting together the puzzle for creating a good viewing experience

and attractive services.

A Short History of User Generated Web Video OR There was Life before YouTube, is there life After YouTube?

Having been a co-founder of possibly the number 1 user generated video site in the first Bubble, I will take us through a quick trip through the beginings of user generated video and the elements that fell into place in the making of the YouTube success. I will then offer some ideas about possible futures in this area and open it to discussion. (Amnon Dekel: Co-Founder of Earthnoise.com)

Social software in ancient times - upgrade or die?

Oodlala an interactive map of memorabilia was conceived in 2004, exhibited widely in net.art context and still exists on-line today. Let’s put it in perspective with later developments in the field and ask about sustainability, history, and nostalgia. What happens to innovative convention as time pass, see also Whelven and other examples. Should one keep upgrading or remain true to a certain moment in time.

Arik Bernstein - Alma Films:

I.Gaza-Sderot: A daily, 2 stories, 2 minutes each cross-platform documentary series.

Alma Films, Ramattan Studios, Trabelsi Productions, Bo Travail! In cooperation with Arte France

Only few kilometers separate Gaza and Sderot. At first glance, they belong to two different worlds, when in fact, they have quite a lot in common. For a period of two months - five days a week - we are going to experience daily life in Gaza (Palestine) and Sderot (Israel), which is painfully shaped by current political and military events.

There will be an Israeli and a Palestinian crew. Each crew will shoot and edit its own material. There will be 5-8 characters we will follow in Gaza and in Sderot; each two minutes story will revolve around one character.

The videos will be uploaded to the internet on a website created especially for the project's purpose and simultaneously broadcasted by international TV stations.

II.The Boidem: Israel: my home movie - Israel's alternative broadband archive.

Alma Films and Nana 10 presentation

During the past five years, we have been gathering numerous collections of home movies. Family and historical documentations integrated to create one puzzle, which would become the story of Israel in the 20th century as never told before. The personal point of view through the historical and family events constitutes the starting point and the foundations of this website.

The website will constitute an active-interactive archive; we intend to upload hundreds of home movies, which will be catalogued by locations, periods, national and personal events. The users will be offered to add their own narration and notes, and using our search engines, they will be able to find relatives, friends and places in Israel and abroad.

The website embarks its user on an emotional, surprising and exciting journey into the depths of the Jewish people's history, where the individual, the family, the national and the global intersect. This project sets itself one principal goal – to deliver a profound, emotional experience. The rest…. is history.
